We are designing an efficient, highly participatory and rewarding pods’ recycling system.

"Re-Pod" adopts a reward mechanism to convert the recycled pods into points through the APP and smart recycling box. Meanwhile, combined with offline recycling activities, it will become a new way to popularise the knowledge of vapes.

We believe that the program can increase recycling rates, promote sustainability, and build user loyalty.

I did a field research, mainly in shopping malls with relatively large traffic. In

the shopping malls, I chose three supermarkets, Walmart, T&T and Shoppers

to shoot, and briefly drew the placement of the recycling device. From this

field research, I think the aisle wall of the shopping mall, or the wall near the

trash can is a suitable place to place the recycling device. At the same time, I

will also consider some outdoor locations so that people can use this

recycling device 24 hours a day.

I was inspired by the ATM machine screen language which has similarities to my recycling device screen language, so I used that as my guide to complete my screen language. NYC Condom dispenser approachable shape and casetify visual iconography also give me some inspiration for my recycling device.
